We are currently looking for a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer to join our academic team in our centrally located Manchester campus.
We are looking to hear from applicants with an interest in project management.
Reporting to our Academic Manager, you will be providing tuition across the University of Law Business School course portfolio. These will include delivering postgraduate and undergraduate BSc courses to the best possible standard.
You will enjoy being challenged (by students and course content in equal measure) and be able to adapt to the different learning styles of students and methods of course delivery. You will be eager to share your expertise, and the role will include marking in-course assignments and final assessments, as well as supporting students and dealing with queries.
As a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer at The University of Law Business School, you will:
* Teach and assess across The University of Law Business School course portfolio in such subjects as may be assigned to you. This will include teaching and assessing students across a range of written and presentation skills and giving individual feedback on students' performances.
* Assist in the preparation of assignments and assessments.
* Participate in course design and review.
* Act as a academic coach to students, including being available and willing to discuss students' problems as they arise, their performance and academic progression
Is this you?:
* Sufficient breadth and depth of professional experience in the relevant discipline to develop teaching programmes and learning support
* Professional, credible, commands respect
Requirements for Lecturer positions:
* Undergraduate degree or equivalent in a relevant subject
* Fellowship of Advance HE (HEA) or equivalent or willingness to work towards*
* Relevant teaching qualification or willingness to work towards PGCHE*
* Please note that if you do not currently hold this, it is a requirement of the University that you will enrol into the programme (delivered and financially supported by the University), usually within 12 months of passing probation. Successful completion/qualification is essential to this role.
Requirements for Senior Lecturer positions:
* Postgraduate qualification or equivalent in a relevant subject
* Fellowship of Advance HE (HEA)
* Relevant teaching qualification
Senior Lecturers will have developed significant expertise in the application and practical delivery of a range of teaching techniques, pastoral care, mentoring colleagues, assessment design, marking and team leadership.
