As the Site Electrical Engineer, you will play a critical role in maintaining electrical safety at our manufacturing site. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure a safe working environment through effective electrical maintenance practices while adhering to all current legislation. You will indirectly manage specialist engineers, both staff and contract, and provide technical advice to senior leaders. This role will directly impact electrical safety across the site and involve planning engineering activities to ensure continued safe operation over the long term. Key Responsibilities Safety and Compliance: Ensure the safety of electrical personnel and oversee all work on electrical equipment and systems. Promote a positive Health & Safety culture and ensure adherence to company policies. Electrical Management and Maintenance: Define, implement, manage, and improve the Electrical Management System for optimal performance. React quickly to major electrical outages and provide maintenance support and technical guidance. Technical Expertise and Support: Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for electrical equipment design and provide ongoing support for operations and capital projects. Develop and support User Requirements Specifications (URS) for all electrical projects. Quality and Change Management: Drive and manage change controls of electrical infrastructure/equipment following Quality and Engineering processes. Manage all Quality tasks related to electrical infrastructure or equipment. Innovation and Sustainability: Maintain awareness of technology offerings, upgrades, and best practices within the electrical environment. Act as energy champion within Engineering, providing technical input into sustainability groups and driving energy management and metering. Coordination and Collaboration: Coordinate electrical and other elements of the Utilities and Facility group during maintenance shutdowns. Collaborate with external vendors and manage communications with external authorities.
