Job Title: 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant
Are you a compassionate, patient, and committed individual with a passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We are seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the RM8 area.
The Role
You will work closely with a pupil on a 1:1 basis, providing tailored support to help them access learning, build confidence, and reach their full potential. Previous experience with children with ASD, ADHD, or speech and language difficulties is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide 1:1 support to a pupil with SEN, both in and out of the classroom
* Assist the class teacher with planning and delivering personalized learning activities
* Support the pupil’s social and emotional development
* Maintain a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment
* Monitor and report on the child’s progress to the SENCO and parents
Requirements
* Experience working in a school or educational setting, ideally SEN-focused
* A calm, empathetic, and proactive approach
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* A valid DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one

Pay rates include statutory holiday pay. This role is temporary, with potential for permanent placement later.
