Position Overview
Theatre Practitioner – OPERATING DEPARTMENT PRACTITIONER – SCRUB (RGN / ODP) at North Staffs Hospital. Bank position, including weekend work, up to £30.00 per hour depending on skills and experience. Working on the bank means you are not contracted to a set number of hours per week but instead work on an ad‑hoc basis to suit the needs of the business and your availability.
Responsibilities
* Work in a multi-disciplinary team covering a varied patient caseload.
* Use state-of-the-art technology, equipment and facilities.
* Supervise, support and develop junior members of the team.
* Provide high-quality perioperative care in a multidisciplinary team setting.
* Create high-quality care and patient experiences that are clinically effective and evidence based.
* Have ample opportunities for continuous growth and personal development, which can include Surgical First Assist training.
Qualifications
You’re registered with the appropriate governing body (NMC or HCPC), with qualifications and experience relevant to your registration, including post‑registration experience in Scrub roles within a Theatre environment. You’re a team player with a passion for exceptional patient care.

North Staffordshire Hospital has a 39-bed facility with 3 theatres, a minor treatment facility and a busy outpatient department, plus physiotherapy, pathology, CT, MRI and diagnostic imaging services. Staff also receive free parking.
