Based in Bromborough, Teledyne CML Composites is a fast growing manufacturer, supplying carbon/glass fibre composite parts and assemblies to some of the world’s leading aircraft and aero engine producers. Job Purpose:
You will be responsible for conducting thorough inspection of Aerospace components to ensure that they comply with industry standards, customer requirements and regulatory guidelines. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining safety and performance of aerospace products.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform detailed inspection and quality control checks on aerospace parts and materials.
Assist with concession & First Article Inspection measurements data (AS9102)
Accurately record inspection findings and maintain comprehensive documentation of inspection results, defects and non conformities.
Work with functions across the business to identify and resolve quality issues and recommend corrective actions and prevent measures to improve product quality and prevent defects.
Investigate and identify root cause of quality issues, defects and non conformances. Collaborate with cross functional teams to implement corrective and preventative action.
Communicate inspection results, findings and quality related issues to relevant stakeholders.
Authority to sign/stamp all release certifications to customer
Material booking in/release
Ability to use all inspection, general measuring equipment, verniers, micrometers etc. CMM is approved
Good computer skills to maintain records and documents
Comply fully with internal and external Quality Audits
Work within all company guidelines and procedures
Qualifications & Experience:
Indentured apprenticeship - Essential
Formal Academic qualification in engineering – Desirable
Inspection/QA Experience - Essential
Working knowledge of ISO and Customer Quality Management Systems - Desirable
Experience of composite manufacture – Desirable
