WOOD MACHINIST (FLATBED ROUTER) HEYWOOD, OL10 Aspired talent are currently seeking an experienced Wood Machinist to join our growing team in Heywood (OL10). This is an excellent opportunity to work within a fast-paced furniture manufacturing environment, producing high-quality products for sectors including office, education (schools), and NHS, as well as bespoke cabinetry. Hours are Monday to Friday 730am till 430pm. Key Responsibilities: Setting and operating flatbed CNC routers Selecting, setting, and maintaining appropriate tooling Editing and optimising CNC programmes as required Reading and interpreting technical drawings Inspecting finished components to ensure quality standards are met Working efficiently to meet production deadlines Maintaining a clean and safe working environment Requirements: Proven experience operating flatbed routers within a woodworking or furniture manufacturing setting Background in cabinet making or production of furniture for commercial sectors (office, schools, NHS preferred) Ability to set machines independently and troubleshoot issues Experience with programme editing (CAD/CAM knowledge advantageous) Strong attention to detail and quality control Good understanding of health & safety practices What We Offer: Competitive salary (based on experience) Stable, full-time position Opportunity to work on varied and high-quality projects Supportive team environment
