Who are we looking for?

22. We don't have a type. We believe our differences are our strengths, and varied cultures, approaches and life experiences can only benefit us.
23. If you are ambitious and entrepreneurial, keen to learn and thrive in a high-performing, dynamic environment where quality is key, then you will fit right in!
24. Bring your whole self into the application process – that's what interests us. More than just the academics, we look at who you are. You may just be the missing piece of the jigsaw.

What do we offer you?

25. You can unapologetically be yourself: It takes everyone to make us who we are and how we are. We’re a culture of diverse perspectives, with each of us making unique contributions that make us better together. If being yourself is what you do best, we’d like to meet you.
26. In the office or WFH? We think the best balance is more time in the office than at home, so we operate a 60:40 rule. When in the office, you won't find closed doors - everyone works in open-plan workspaces to encourage collaboration and camaraderie.
27. On top of your salary: We offer plenty of benefits; private medical insurance, health cash plan, dental insurance, life assurance, critical illness insurance, matched pension contributions up to 7%, holiday trading, plus many more. Visit: for further information.
28. Modern Office Space: Located in the iconic Titanic Quarter with excellent commuter links and parking nearby.
29. Nurturing your talent: You will take a 'build a career' approach to your training. You'll be on a pathway but free to wander occasionally if you see something you'd like to study more closely.
30. Join the fun: funnel your interests: You have a life outside work, but we can help it flourish. Join clubs, affinity networks, inclusive events, and pro bono or charity initiatives around your working day. If we don't do it, why not suggest it?

Inclusion is not exclusive:

Are you human? Then we'll be happy to consider you. We believe if all our differences are highlighted, no one stands out for being different. So at Fieldfisher, all our rich diversity is celebrated. Everybody is included.

If, however, you are differently abled, then we will provide you with the equipment to allow you to shine at the interview and beyond. Just let us know what your needs are.

32. If we like what we see, you'll be invited to a 20–30-minute introductory call with one of our recruiters – it will be a relaxed chat. We are all lovely and we don't bite!
33. The next bit gets more complicated as every role recruits differently. But we'll always let you know what to expect from the process, so you get no nasty surprises.
34. For hybrid opportunities, you'll be invited to visit our offices for a face-to-face meeting.
35. We try to make sure the process takes around 2-3 weeks only, but we can't always promise that. We will work around your availability, but our lawyers are busy people too. Please note that we recruit on a rolling basis, meaning that your application will most likely be reviewed before the application deadline. We will continue to accept applications until we have successfully filled the role.

The Firm

We are not just a UK firm with offices in Europe. We are a European law firm at our core. While our head office is in London, we are spreading across Europe at a rate. In addition to our UK, China and Silicon Valley presence we have offices in Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Poland and Spain. Look out for more to come.

We are growing fast. With 1,800 people across 25 offices in 13 countries you might expect an impersonal office culture but you will find a homely, family feel even in the largest offices. You won't find cake listed in our benefits but perhaps it should be. Regular treats in the kitchens, monthly office buffet lunches and social events throw everyone together.

Fieldfisher and you - a match made for success
Hopefully you decide we're right for you and we decide you're right for us. Quality on both sides. Across all our offices and jurisdictions are market-leading practices in corporate/M&A, finance, real estate, energy and natural resources, technology and life sciences.

We work with the heavy hitters, counting as clients large corporations including major technology firms, pharmaceutical and life sciences companies, energy suppliers, infrastructure companies, global banks and financial institutions. Collaboration is not just something we talk about in our Values statement (although it is one of our Values). Our approach with clients is to work with them not just for them, maintaining a constant dialogue, tailoring our services to their needs and integrating cutting-edge legal technologies into our advice where we can - but only where we think it adds value.

The legal bit
We aim to ensure equality of opportunity and we are actively working towards improving the diversity of our staff. All applications will only be considered on merit and the applicant's suitability to meet the requirements of the role.
