Project Manager – Rail Property
Location: East Midlands, UK
Salary: £400 per day
Contract Duration: 3 months (potential to extend)
Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager with rail property expertise to join their team for various station enhancement projects. The role focuses on delivering high-quality outputs and requires a candidate with a strong background in rail industry property projects.
The successful candidate will work on diverse projects such as lighting replacements, cycle hub refurbishments, forecourt pedestrianisation, station rebuilds, and canopy works. You will manage multiple projects of varying sizes, collaborating closely with stakeholders.
Required Skills and Experience:
* Rail property experience as a Project Manager
* Project Management Qualification (e.g., Prince2 or equivalent)
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to facilitate workshops and build stakeholder relationships
* Experience managing medium complexity projects throughout their lifecycle in a rail environment, preferably stations
* TOC & NR experienced Project Manager
* Knowledge of TOC governance, consent processes, and NR engineering assurance
* Collaborative working experience within a Programme team to deliver projects safely, on time, within scope, and within budget
* Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) and project management systems
* Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including senior management up to C-suite level
* Experience preparing and presenting reports in line with governance requirements
* Contract management experience in project delivery
* Experience managing project budgets, including reporting and forecasting
