HR Operations Manager
We have an exciting opportunity for a proactive and dynamic HR Operations Manager to join our People team, based at our Head Office, Blackburn.
As our HR Operations Manager at Vital Energi, reporting to our People & HR Director, you will help deliver a comprehensive, generalist HR operational service across all departments, supporting the entire employee lifecycle.
You will lead a small HR team, where you’ll work alongside passionate and talented professionals dedicated to driving people and organisational success. You will support the business to deliver people-related processes, vision, and strategy across the company. Your fundamental focus will be to manage and optimise all HR operational procedures, systems, and services, ensuring seamless execution and providing dependable support to employees and managers.

Manage all core HR departmental areas, including payroll, employee relations, HR admin, internal recruitment and maintaining and improving HR systems.
Manage and optimise HR operational procedures, systems, and services, ensuring seamless execution and providing dependable support to employees and managers
To oversee HR operational activities, ensuring adherence to all applicable employment laws and regulations, and minimising organisational risk. Help to ensure employment law, HR policy, best practice and workforce development are applied throughout the organisation.
To drive operational excellence within the HR function by streamlining procedures, enhancing service provision, and ensuring accurate and timely execution of HR administrative tasks
Identify HR trends so that attention can be directed to key issues and resources
Identify staffing needs and manage the creation of job descriptions, handbooks and updates to policies
Continuously improve engagement and welfare activities, maximising productivity, devolving HR responsibilities to line managers and building leadership capability.
Control the performance review programme to deliver continuous employee development.
Advise staff on terms and conditions policies and procedures, including maternity and paternity leave, grievances, pay and any other issues which affect their employment
providing sound guidance in current practice and adherence to policies and procedures
Ensure internal HR communications, including any issues, initiatives and programmes are well planned, coordinated, relevant, timely and adhere to the company’s values.
Reporting of HR Statistics at board level
Successful portfolio in a HR Management role
Driving license is essential

~ Hours of work 08:00am-4:30pm Mon- Thurs, Friday 3pm finish. Fundamentally office base in Blackburn, HQ, with the possibility of working from home 1 day per week after probation.
