Support safe, reliable operations across equipment and facilities
As Site Support Engineer, you support the daily operation, maintenance, and improvement of site equipment and facilities. You assist the engineering team with planned and reactive maintenance while helping ensure stores, contractor coordination, and systems are managed effectively.
You also contribute to improving reliability and efficiency across the site. By identifying opportunities for better maintenance practices, energy efficiency, and system upgrades, you help strengthen the performance of our engineering operations.
• Carry out planned and preventative maintenance on site equipment and electronic systems to minimise downtime and maintain reliable performance.
• Support reactive maintenance and fault diagnosis, assisting shift engineers in restoring equipment safely and quickly while identifying root causes of issues.
• Support stores and inventory management by maintaining stock levels, organising spare parts, and ensuring stores remain well structured and accessible.
• Assist with contractor coordination, including liaising with contractors, arranging site visits and servicing activities, and uploading required documentation to the safety management system.
• Contribute to facility maintenance and continuous improvement projects, supporting repairs, upgrades, CMMS development, and initiatives that improve efficiency and reliability.
Bring technical expertise and a hands-on approach to engineering support
You are someone who enjoys working in a practical engineering environment where no two days are the same. You are motivated by solving technical problems, maintaining equipment, and supporting a well-functioning engineering team.
In this role, you collaborate with engineers and other teams across the site to ensure equipment, facilities, and processes operate safely and efficiently.
You take initiative to identify problems, investigate root causes, and contribute to improvements that strengthen reliability and performance.
About you:
• Electrical or engineering qualification such as HNC, HND, or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and the right to work in the UK.
• Strong technical troubleshooting ability across electrical, mechanical, or control systems.
• Experience supporting preventative maintenance activities to reduce breakdowns and improve equipment reliability.
• Health and safety awareness, including understanding of safe systems of work such as risk assessments or permit-to-work processes.
Grow your engineering experience while supporting a high-performing team
This role offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced engineers while developing your own technical skills across equipment, facilities, and maintenance systems. You will gain exposure to a wide range of engineering tasks, from maintenance and fault diagnosis to stores management and contractor coordination.
You will also play a role in continuous improvement activities across the site, helping identify ways to improve efficiency, reliability, and maintenance practices. For someone eager to learn and contribute to a strong engineering team, this position provides a practical environment to build experience and make a meaningful impact.
