Job Summary
We seek a skilled Network Engineer with at least 5 years of experience, CCNA certification (or higher), and knowledge of network protocols, wireless, SD-WAN, and SASE. This is a remote role with occasional travel in the UK, requiring a full UK driving license.
Working hours are 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM (GMT/BST), Monday to Friday, with an on-call rota (1 week in 5) for out-of-hours support.
Job Responsibilities
1. Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure ensuring high availability and security.
2. Troubleshoot and resolve network issues across layers and platforms, including wireless, AWS, and Azure.
3. Support and maintain cloud WAF and SASE solutions.
4. Perform routine maintenance, upgrades, and patches.
5. Collaborate with IT teams for seamless integration.
6. Develop documentation for configurations and troubleshooting.
7. Travel to stations for on-site support as needed.
8. Stay updated on emerging networking technologies and trends.
Qualifications and Competencies
1. Minimum 5 years in a network engineering role.
2. Deep knowledge of Layer 2, 3, 4 protocols, wireless protocols (WPA3, Wi-Fi 6E/7).
3. Current CCNA or higher certification within last 5 years.
4. Basic understanding of SD-WAN and SASE.
5. Experience with Cisco Meraki hardware and Dashboard.
6. Proficiency with network device configuration and troubleshooting.
7. Strong problem-solving, communication, and remote work skills.
8. Full UK driving license and ability to travel.
Preferred Qualifications
1. Additional certifications (e.g., CCNP, JNCIA).
2. Experience with cloud networking, automation, security solutions.
3. Experience with Ubiquiti solutions.
4. Knowledge of network monitoring and management tools.
