Job overview
We are seeking a flexible and caring individual to join our dedicated team on The Endoscopy Unit at Trafford General Hospital and help provide high quality care to our patients.
The Endoscopy Unit is open 7 days a week and delivers diagnostic procedures to patients.
You will take responsibility for ensuring that the patient environment is fully prepared for the patient to receive care. This requires a flexible, calm approach and the ability to follow direction when needed. You will have the chance to work with a diverse patient group, meaning that the role can be very rewarding.
Included within your duties is to check and put away stock deliveries, maintaining stock rotation and checking of expiry dates, and collect patient supplies as and when needed.

Main duties of the job
To provide support to trained nursing staff in order to deliver a more timely and efficient service as part of the pathway for patients in Endoscopy. The post holder will undertake duties that will allow more effective use of nursing time and will also contribute to the efficient running of the service.
You will take responsibility for ensuring that all medical equipment is clean and well maintained and liaise with the domestic supervisors and staff to ensure cleaning is of a high standard. Waiting areas are to be well maintained for patient and visitor use. You will take responsibility for ensuring the endoscopy unit has adequate equipment and stock and will undertake reporting any estates work.
In addition, you will be responsible for assisting the team in continuous quality improvement work by undertaking audits on the Department. The role also entails keeping ward information boards up to date, and friends & family feedback is maintained.

Qualifications
* Educated to GCSE level or equivalent
* Willingness to undertake professional development
Knowledge and Experience
* Experience of working in an acute healthcare setting
* Basic computer skills
* Experience of working within a hospitality setting
* Experience of ordering and stock control
