Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting dedicated and experienced support staff to work within a number of Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) schools across Wigan.
These roles involve supporting pupils who require additional help to access learning and manage their behaviour in a structured educational environment.
Role Details
Location: Wigan
Hours: Monday – Friday, 08:30 – 15:30
Contract: Full-time only
Start: ASAP / Ongoing opportunities available
Key Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN and SEMH needs
Assist pupils in engaging with classroom activities and learning tasks
Support pupils with behaviour management and emotional regulation
Work closely with teachers and support staff to maintain a safe and structured learning environment
Build positive relationships with pupils to encourage confidence and independence
Requirements
Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN/SEMH is essential
Strong behaviour management and communication skills
Patient, resilient, and able to remain calm in challenging situations
A genuine passion for supporting young people in their development
