As the Wellbeing Practitioner, you will help implement and support Wellbeing as directed by the Practice Development and Wellbeing Lead Nurse at Wellesley Hospital. This will be through raising awareness of wellbeing activities across the hospital, promoting healthy lifestyles and positive mental health.
Responsibilities
* Promoting health campaigns through poster displays, emailing colleagues, distributing leaflets, and updating colleagues via staff forums or drop-in clinics (e.g. World Mental Health Day, National No Smoking Day).
* Facilitating activities as mapped out in the Elysium Wellbeing Calendar (e.g. lunch-time walks, book club, World AIDS Day, International Nurses Day, hobby groups).
* Signposting colleagues to relevant services (e.g. CIC counselling).
* Encouraging participation in Elysium’s Wellbeing initiatives and challenges.
* Running support drop-in clinics for staff to raise concerns and reporting to HD/Deputy HD for actioning.
* Updating the monthly staff newsletter and championing relevant health messages and events at Wellesley Hospital.
* Providing information to colleagues about Wellbeing Support and promoting a healthy workplace culture.
* Involvement in hospital events and collaborative work with staff; providing wellbeing support for staff affected by work-related incidents.
* Distribution and collection of monthly staff and Star Award nominations; minute staff forum meetings and maintain associated action logs.
* Maintaining stock of sanitary and wellbeing products for staff.
There is also a requirement to support induction and orientation of new staff, including additional support for staff recently relocated from overseas.
Requirements
* An enthusiasm for wellbeing, improving the working environment and supporting engagement.
* Approachable and willing to help.
* A basic understanding of healthy lifestyles and health promotion.
* Keen to keep up to date with activities within the Elysium Wellbeing programme, attend occasional training events/meetings and collaborate with others.
