We have an exciting opportunity for a Class1 Night Trunker Driver to join the team in our Birmingham Outbase Hub Trunking to our Bristol Hub.
To provide a best in class, professional, efficient, safe, and legally compliant trunking service.
The Role Class 1 Night Trunker:
Responsible for the accurate, safe, and timely transportation of caged/palletised loads from Yardley to Final Mile Outbase
Immediately communicate any issues encountered to central Transport hub and keep apprised of actions being taken to resolve.
Inspect vehicle for defects and safe operating condition before, during, and after trips and submit a fully completed daily vehicle check sheet.
Maintain interior and exterior vehicle cleanliness on a daily basis.
Confirm prior to departure that all delivery documentation is available for handing over to Outbase Supervisor and that appropriate paperwork accompanies each trunk and is completed/signed off prior to leaving outbase.
When necessary, support Outbase Supervisor with the unloading of trunker and loading of repatriated cages/pallets and report any non-conformance, ensuring any cages/pallets loaded are re-usable.
Ensure that legal compliance, Health and Safety regulations and Company procedures are followed at all times.
Complete drop point risk assessments as and when required.
Feedback any travel/dwell time issues encountered to central Transport hub as they happen.
Any other ad-hoc duties required by the company.
The Person Class 1 Night Trunker:
Minimum 2 Years HGV 1 (Cat C+E) driving experience
Experience of double decker haulage is preferred
HGV 1 (Cat C+E) driver licence clean driver licence required
Driver Qualification Card (DQC)
Driver Digital Tachograph Card
Flexible in hours worked
Highly focused on customer service
Excellent communication skills
Self-starter - demonstrating an energetic, hands-on approach
Self-motivated with an ability to work individually as well as within a team
The role is offered on a full-time permanent basis, Sunday Thursday. Guaranteed 10 hours a day between 4pm - 3am. We offer an excellent package which includes a highly competitive remuneration; night allowance, pension, and 28 days holiday inclusive of bank holidays
