Compliance Lead – Electrical
Salary: £51,356 | Level: CFL10
Overview
As Compliance Lead – Electrical, you will play a vital role in keeping residents safe by leading the delivery of electrical compliance across the Council's housing and corporate property portfolio. Reporting to the Service Manager, you will act as the Council's subject matter expert for electrical safety, taking ownership of day‑to‑day compliance delivery and providing assurance that statutory obligations are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead planned inspection, testing and remedial programmes, managing external contractors and holding them to account for quality, performance, cost and timeliness.
* Maintain clear oversight of electrical compliance data and certification, act as the Council's Principal Duty Holder for NICEIC, and provide professional advice to colleagues and senior stakeholders.
* Contribute to continuous service improvement, investigations and forward planning, helping to embed a strong culture of safety, accountability and assurance.
Qualifications
* Recognised electrical qualification.
* Experience managing compliance programmes and contractor performance within a social housing or local authority environment.
* Strong technical knowledge of electrical safety; understanding statutory and regulatory requirements.
* Ability to interpret data, provide clear technical advice and make sound, evidence‑based decisions.
* Recognised health and safety qualification desirable.
