Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced people manager to step into the role of Work Experience Employer / Engagement Leader. This team‑leader position requires strong business development experience in an educational setting, a proven track record of managing business development teams, and the ability to collaborate effectively with curriculum teams.
You will oversee team performance, ensure compliance with high‑quality work experience and industry placement standards, link the College with industry, drive employability initiatives, and foster long‑term partnerships with employers, stakeholders and educational partners. The role is permanent, full time (35 hours per week).

Skills, Qualifications and Experience
* At least a GCSE or level 2 in literacy or numeracy (or equivalent)
* Experience of employer engagement, including networking, cold‑calling, negotiating and relationship management
* Ability to work under pressure and on own initiative
* Experience engaging with employers at operational levels
* Experience delivering qualifications, education or employability sessions
* Experience delivering group work sessions and one‑to‑one work with participants
* Experience developing external relationships with employers and agencies
* Experience using computerised management information systems
* Experience working to targets, implementing monitoring and recording systems
* Experience delivering programmes focused on soft skills, mentoring and employability
* Excellent liaison and networking skills – circulating information accurately and timely across team boundaries
* Strong organisational and self‑motivation skills
* Excellent oral and written communication and proficiency in Microsoft Office
* Willingness to undertake continuous personal development
* Understanding or interest in the hospitality and catering sector (advantageous)
* Must have access to a car and a full driving licence
