The Dermatology Patch Testing Nurse is responsible for delivering specialist patch testing services to patients with suspected allergic contact dermatitis. This includes preparing and applying allergen panels, carrying out follow-up readings, providing detailed patient education, and ensuring accurate documentation. The nurse works alongside dermatology consultants and the wider clinical team to deliver safe, evidence-based, patient-centred care.

* Prepare and apply dermatology patch test panels.
* Perform 48-hour and 7296-hour patch test readings and document results.
* Provide clear patient education before, during, and after testing.
* Maintain allergen supplies and ensure proper storage and stock control.
* Record all procedures and outcomes in the electronic patient record system.
* Communicate findings to dermatology clinicians and assist with patient management.
* Adhere to infection prevention and control and clinic safety policies.

Person Specification
Experience
* Registered Nurse (RGN) with active NMC registration.
* - Experience in dermatology or allergy services essential
* - Patch testing experience required.
* - Strong communication, assessment, and patient-education skills.
* - Attention to detail and ability to follow clinical protocols.
* - Commitment to safe, evidence-based, high-quality patient care.
