What Will You Be Doing?
As a Transport Team Leader Apprentice, you will play a key role in supporting our Transport function while working towards your Level 3 Team Leader qualification. You will be responsible for:
* Supporting the day to day coordination of drivers and fleet operations
* Assisting with route planning and workload allocation
* Communicating effectively with drivers, customers and internal departments
* Monitoring compliance with health and safety and transport legislation
* Supporting driver performance, absence management and general welfare
* Using transport systems and administrative processes accurately
* Developing leadership skills to effectively manage and motivate a team
This role combines practical on the job experience with structured apprenticeship learning to build your leadership capability within a busy operational environment.
What Are We Looking For?
* A positive attitude and willingness to learn
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* Confidence working in a fast paced operational environment
* An interest in leadership and people management
* Basic IT skills
* GCSE Maths and English at Grade 4 or above, or willingness to work towards them
Previous transport experience is not essential, however an understanding of logistics or fleet operations would be beneficial.
