To manage the joint venture activities for the Region, supporting the Regional Finance Director and Team in providing financial and commercial analysis. Developing and managing excellent relationships with our joint venture partners. Assisting in the provision of internal and external reporting and financial control, focused on joint venture activities for the Northern Home Counties business unit.
Key Responsibilities:
1. External Reporting: Support the Financial Reporting Manager in preparing the Group's external results for Half Year and Year End, working closely with external auditors and stakeholders.
2. Process Improvement: Review and suggest improvements to financial reporting processes, overseeing their implementation.
3. Business Partnering: Build relationships with finance teams, guiding on accounting policies and group submissions.
4. Technical Accounting: Provide insights into technical accounting areas.
5. Financial Statement Preparation: Lead the preparation of subsidiary financial statements, ensuring timely completion.
6. IFRS 16 Leases and Fixed Assets: Manage leases and fixed assets, including register preparation and review.
7. Payroll: Assist in payroll postings, recharge processes, and reconciliations.
8. Joint Venture Financials: Prepare budgets, forecasts, management accounts, and reports for JV boards.
9. Cashflow and Funding: Prepare weekly cashflow forecasts and manage funding requirements.
10. Management Information: Monitor performance, analyze trends, and communicate risks and opportunities.
11. Audit and Compliance: Respond to audit queries and ensure timely filing of financial statements.
12. Overheads and Invoicing: Control overheads, raise invoices, and manage debtors and purchase orders.
Candidate Profile:
* ACA/ACCA qualification or equivalent.
* Experience in consolidation within large groups and working with external auditors.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
* Strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
* Ability to work under pressure, independently, and as part of a team.
* Willingness to work flexible hours as needed.
Desirable Skills:
* Experience with joint ventures and IFRS/FRS accounting standards.
* Experience in payroll accounting and reporting for large listed companies.
* Ability to interpret financial statements and business performance.
