About the role As Engineering Projects Manager, you’ll lead the delivery of significant capital investment projects that support the expansion and development of our UK Sites. With a strong focus on building and civil works, you’ll manage projects from early concept through to full handover, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time and within budget.
Working as part of the Central Engineering team, you’ll partner closely with Site leadership and key support functions including Health and Safety, Technical and Legal, as well as external consultants and contractors. You’ll ensure all works meet food safety, legal, regulatory and engineering standards, while maintaining strong control of CAPEX spend.
This is a hands-on role overseeing a broad portfolio of projects, typically valued from £100,000 up to £30 million, playing a critical role in enabling KP Snacks to deliver its long-term growth ambitions.

What will you be doing? Leading major capital expansion projects
by delivering the full project lifecycle from concept, feasibility and design through to construction, commissioning and handover in a live food manufacturing environment
Managing building and civil engineering programmes
including new builds, major extensions and internal reconfigurations that support site growth and long-term capability
Owning CAPEX planning and governance
by setting budgets, forecasting spend, controlling costs and ensuring robust financial and approval processes are applied throughout
Ensuring safety, food safety and compliance
by applying KP Snacks engineering standards, legal requirements and risk management processes, and ensuring contractor activities meet Health and Safety expectations
Working as part of the Central Engineering team
by contributing to internal customer satisfaction, technical standards, manufacturing excellence and the achievement of wider business objectives
Collaborating across Sites and partners
by building strong, trusted relationships with Site teams, Central functions and external contractors to deliver a one team, one goal approach

We’d love to hear from you if you can bring: Strong engineering experience
gained within food manufacturing, FMCG or another highly regulated environment
Proven delivery of complex capital projects, including building and civil works, from concept through to full handover
A solid understanding of CAPEX processes, cost control, procurement and project management tools
A safety-first mindset, with hands-on experience applying risk assessments, safe systems of work and contractor management
The confidence to collaborate and influence
across multiple Sites and functions
A degree in Engineering or similar. An HNC or equivalent experience gained through a craft apprenticeship, supported by extensive practical experience, will also support success in this role
