Job purpose: The Indirect Procurement Manager will be responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies across indirect spend categories that would include but not limited to Marketing, Professional Services, IT, Facilities, Repair/Maintenance, HR, and Travel. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of driving cost optimization, supplier performance, and process improvements while ensuring alignment with business objectives. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills, as well as advanced proficiency in Excel for data analysis. The position also includes people management responsibilities, providing leadership, guidance, and development support to direct reports within the procurement team. Benefits : Simplyhealth cash plan, Retail Trust, life insurance, and up to 25% in-store discounts Key Responsibilities: Strategic Sourcing & Category Management Develop and implement category strategies for indirect spend areas, aligning with business priorities and cost-saving targets. Conduct market analysis, identify sourcing opportunities, and lead end-to-end procurement processes (Tender, negotiations, contracting). Drive supplier selection, qualification, and performance management to ensure value delivery and compliance. Stakeholder & Supplier Management Partner with cross-functional stakeholders (Finance, HR, IT, Commercial, Operations) to understand business needs and provide procurement expertise. Ensure the liaison with the Indirect Procurement Central team (based in Paris) Build strong relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure service excellence. Lead contract negotiations and manage supplier agreements, ensuring risk mitigation and favourable terms. Cost Optimisation & Compliance Deliver measurable savings through strategic sourcing, demand management, and supplier consolidation. Monitor category spend and supplier performance, ensuring adherence to procurement policies and compliance requirements. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance procurement efficiency and transparency. Data, Reporting & Presentation Utilise advanced Excel functions (pivot tables, lookups, data models, Power Query) for spend analysis and performance tracking. Create impactful PowerPoint presentations to summarize findings, category performance, and recommendations for senior leadership. Develop dashboards and reports to track KPIs, supplier performance, and cost savings. Present complex data in a clear, visually engaging format to support decision-making and influence stakeholders. Qualifications: 5–8 years of experience in Indirect Procurement, ideally within a multinational or complex organizational structure. Experience leading and developing a small team or managing direct reports within procurement. Proven experience managing multiple indirect categories and leading cross-functional sourcing initiatives. Strong negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills. Excellent communication and presentation abilities. Strong PowerPoint skills – ability to craft clear, data-driven presentations that communicate procurement insights, savings opportunities, and strategic recommendations effectively Advanced Excel skills, including: - Pivot tables and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP for spend analysis - Data validation and conditional formatting for tracking KPIs - Charting and dashboard creation for procurement reporting Our values: Can you feel the HEAT?
