About the Role
To be responsible for planning and preparing high-quality food and catering services for the School, and to manage and supervise all kitchen staff.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan menus considering the dietary needs of Service Users.
* Monitor stocks, including date rotation, portion control, and quality, within budgetary controls.
* Set up and clean kitchen areas daily.
* Prepare for daily and weekly demands of the School.
* Minimize waste.
* Provide suitable food for staff and Service Users with special dietary requirements.
Who are we looking for
The ideal candidate will have:
* Good knowledge of catering practices, including storage and use of relevant products.
* Knowledge of food safety requirements.
* Experience in menu planning, budget management, and nutrition.
* Management experience in similar settings.
* Supervisory and staff appraisal skills.

Hillingdon Manor Secondary School provides specialist education for approximately 185 pupils aged 11-19, focusing on small class sizes and tailored qualifications. Our goal is to support each pupil to reach their potential in a safe, supportive environment.

We are trialing a 4-Day Working Week, which could allow you to work four days instead of five, promoting work/life balance. This trial is part of our commitment to staff wellbeing and may expand across the Group if successful.

Salary: £26,000 per annum
Hours: 38.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
