JOB PURPOSE:
The jobholder will on behalf of the National Learning and Development Centre develop and deliver training across the group covering the North, North West & Scotland.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
To deliver statutory training within the organisation in line with Legislation,Regulatory Requirements and Policies and Procedures
To deliver service specific training courses, according to business requirements, which satisfy the requirements of competence based learning including underpinning knowledge and understanding.
To work alone and with colleagues to write and deliver training packages
To support and contribute to training initiatives, including the drive to improve quality and compliance standards
To act as a key member of the Training Team in order to hear and respond appropriately to the needs of the business, ensuring that issues raised in relation to Safeguarding and other areas of concern are communicated appropriately to Managers
To support the L&D Manager in the promotion of training within the organisation including participation in the continuous improvement activities of the department
Undertake training relevant to the needs of the post and according to relevant legislation.
Carry out duties in compliance with all company policies and procedures including Health & Safety, Equal Opportunities and Diversity at Work procedures.Education /Qualifications
Essential
A certified training qualification (and/or willingness to complete one within the first 6 months of employment)
A qualification in H&SC at a minimum of Level 3Desirable
Nursing Qualification (active PIN)
Other relevant train the trainer qualifications e.g.
Moving & Assisting, First Aid, MAPA, Makaton, Safeguarding, MCA, DoLS etc…
Other Certified Qualifications in Health and Social Care
Relevant management/professional qualificationIt’s is essential that you have previous experience of delivering training in Health and Social Care, an appreciation of a full range of care settings and a good working knowledge of regulatory requirements and legislation
