The Role We have an exciting opportunity for an
Account Executive
to join our team in Birmingham, supporting a portfolio of national governing bodies across the UK. This is a dynamic, client-facing role that combines relationship management with strategic growth. You’ll be responsible for delivering outstanding service, ensuring client retention, and identifying opportunities to expand our footprint.
The role involves regular travel to client sites, making strong interpersonal skills and a proactive approach essential. The ideal candidate will be a confident self-starter, capable of managing their own workload, building long-term partnerships, and thriving in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
Manage and prioritise your workload to meet personal and team objectives.
Review and prepare client documentation to support accurate and timely quoting.
Liaise with clients and underwriters to ensure appropriate cover and pricing.
Produce compliant market documentation and ensure accurate data entry.
Monitor and forecast renewal and new business activity for planning purposes.
Support the development of new products and wordings through market research.
Ensure all documentation and communications meet compliance and audit standards.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, underwriters, and internal teams.
Provide leadership and mentoring to junior team members where applicable.
Support recruitment, succession planning, and personal development initiatives.
Who We’re Looking For
Strong understanding of insurance principles and relevant regulatory environments.
Proven experience in a similar broking or client-facing insurance role.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Highly organised with strong time management and prioritisation abilities.
Confident decision-maker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
Adaptable and resilient under pressure, with a positive approach to change.
Skilled in coaching or mentoring junior colleagues (desirable).
Proficient in relevant systems and Microsoft Office applications.
Qualifications
Full UK Driver's Licence
2+ years insurance experience
GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
LLMIT (Lloyd’s and London Market Introductory Test) where relevant.
Working towards or attained ACII (preferred but not essential).
