The Role


As an Estates Programme Manager you will lead and deliver specialist construction, civil engineering and estate management programmes across the LTPA and QinetiQ freehold estate.

Day-to-day, you will hold responsibility for the full Programme Management lifecycle from planning through to execution and handover on a variety of projects. These will vary from general building refurbishments through to more technical requirements and even new build construction


Your responsibilities will include:

1. Leading and delivering a defined programme of major construction projects
2. Setting, reviewing and maintaining programme objectives, priorities, risks and scope and success measures
3. Planning and managing programme activities, milestone and progress throughout its lifecycle
4. Facilitating stakeholder engagement and maintain clear, effective communications
5. Ensuring efficient communication and coordination between the programme, internal teams and external advisors

Essential experience of the Estates Programme Manager:

6. Significant experience in a construction project or program management environment, with a proven track record of leading complex projects from inception to completion
7. Experience of construction contracts (NEC) and construction procurement methods.
8. Extensive experience of the Construction, Design Management (CDM) Regulations and must have acted as client or similar role on a construction related project
9. Experience using business cases to support decision making and secure programme investment

Essential qualifications for the Estates Programme Manager:

10. Demonstrable capability to APM PMQ or equivalent
11. Chartered status is desirable

This role is 37 hours per week based at our Farnborough or MOD Boscombe Down site. Travel to other QinetiQ and customer sites is expected.
