What you'll be doing
Geospatial & Transport Analytics
1. Analyse large-scale geospatial and mobility datasets to model movement, accessibility, catchments, demand and network behaviour.
2. Design and implement transport and location-based analytical models, supporting use cases such as:
3. Origin–destination analysis
4. Catchment and drive-time modelling
5. Network flow and congestion analysis
6. Accessibility and mobility insights
7. Apply spatial SQL and cloud-native analytics to deliver scalable, repeatable solutions.
Data & Solution Delivery
8. Build analytical pipelines and models on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including BigQuery.
9. Integrate data from multiple sources (location, network, demographic, third-party datasets) into coherent analytical frameworks.
10. Design solutions that are scalable, cost-effective and production-ready, aligned with business and client needs.
11. Ensure outputs are robust, well-documented and follow best engineering and analytical practices.
Insight Communication & Visualisation
12. Translate complex spatial analysis into clear, compelling insights for technical and non-technical audiences.
13. Design and deliver interactive visualisations and dashboards using tools such as:
14. Jupyter Notebooks
15. Kepler.gl
16. D3.js
17. Qlik / Tableau / Kibana
18. Present findings confidently to senior stakeholders, clients and partners.
Client & Commercial Engagement
19. Act as a trusted analytical partner, working closely with internal teams and external clients.
20. Support client pitches, proposals and bids by leading key analytical components.
21. Contribute to the development of new data-driven transport and location intelligence propositions.
