Location: Oldham (Office-Based - Spindles Town Centre)
Salary: £36,648 - £39,186 + £2,000 retention payment | Permanent

Oldham is looking for a passionate Duty & Advice Social Worker to join our multi-agency safeguarding team (MASH) and play a crucial role at the front door of Children's Services. Why Oldham? The Role As a Duty & Advice Social Worker within our MASH, you will:
Responsibilities
* Respond to contacts and safeguarding concerns quickly and effectively
* Gather information from families, professionals and the public
* Work collaboratively with partner agencies to build a full picture of risk
* Make confident, evidence-based threshold decisions
* Ensure children and families are directed to the most appropriate support or protection
You'll need a solid understanding of statutory social work duties and the confidence to make informed safeguarding decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
* Solid understanding of statutory social work duties and the confidence to make informed safeguarding decisions in a fast-paced environment
* Registered with Social Work England and eligible to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship available)
