Gynaecology and Fertility Private Outpatients Health Care assistant
Band 3
FT – 37.5 hours per week. Monday to Friday and occasional weekends.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a committed and enthusiastic Outpatients Nurse to support our Private services and to join the team in our large and successful Centre of Reproductive Medicine located at St Bartholomew’s Hospital in the City of London.
The successful candidate will be expected to have strong Gynaecology experience and have some knowledge of aspects of Fertility Nursing. This includes supporting patients throughout their investigations, treatment and follow-up. Also managing specialist Gynaecological procedures such as Outpatient Hysteroscopy, HyCosy and Colposcopy.
Working closely with the Private consultants in providing the highest quality of Care to Private patients.
Applicants require a minimum of two years post-registration experience at the time of application and the confidence to take on the responsibilities of a specialist role. You will also need to demonstrate a mature outlook, have excellent communication skills, be motivated to provide the highest standards of nursing care and show a genuine interest in working in this area.
Some flexibility in working hours is required to ensure service cover. In return, we can offer you full on-the-job training in a supportive multi-disciplinary team and an interesting and rewarding job role, as well as access to formal study and supported attendance at relevant conferences and study days.
The unit is currently open Monday to Friday 8am – 6pm. With some clinics running until 8pm and a potential for weekend clinic cover in the future

The Nursing Assistant works under the direction or supervision of qualified nurses to undertake nursing administrative duties and implement clinical care planned by Registered Professionals. The Nursing Assistant is proactive in monitoring and anticipating patients’ needs within the boundaries of the Job Description & works within the directives of the Human Fertilization & Embryology Authority (HFEA) at all times

1. NVQ level 2 or equivalent in direct patient care – with a capability to undertake an NVQ level 3

3. Experience of working in a clinical team for at least 2 years within the NHS at NVQ level 2
