Overview
Agricultural Sales Representative - Retail and Feed. This role is based at the Annan Country Store and serves the Southwest Scotland area. The successful candidate will combine sales, customer success and product knowledge to build lasting relationships, develop the sales territory, and drive sales across feed and retail product lines while maintaining high customer satisfaction and standards.

THE JOB
Responsibilities
* To achieve agreed sales targets through a proactive approach to sales, actively seek out new customers while nurturing existing relationships to grow sales and upsell our products and services.
* To have detailed product knowledge, explaining features and benefits to maximise both feed and retail sales.
* To engage with customers, building rapport and understanding their needs to maximise feed and retail sales.
* To manage a Sales Pipeline identifying potential new customers to drive sales performance.
* To communicate well in person, by phone or email to articulate the benefits of products and services to maximise feed and retail sales.
* To have product presentation skills to confidently demonstrate products and services and answer customer questions to maximise feed and retail sales.
* To have negotiation skills and understand the customer's budget to offer competitive pricing options that meet requirements and maximise margin contribution.
* To manage all customer debt in line with company credit policies.
* To adhere to Company and Group policies and procedures, including safety, health and environmental requirements.
* To ensure all relevant legislation and approved codes of practice are adhered to, including UFAS, FIAS and NOPS assurance schemes.
Essential Skills, Experience and Qualities
* A proactive, self-motivated attitude with a drive to exceed targets.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
* Demonstrable experience of driving growth in sales.
* Ability to analyse data, identify trends and make informed decisions.
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions under pressure.
* Experience of managing a sales ledger using a CRM system.
* Strong product presentation and customer engagement abilities.
* Experience in sales, preferably in feed, retail, or a related industry.
* A commitment to compliance and safety standards.
Desirable
* Holds a full UK driving licence.
* Knowledge and experience of working in an agricultural setting.
* Experience with feed/fertiliser/equine products.
* AMTRA qualification, but training can be given to achieve this.
* Confident and competent user of Microsoft applications and fully IT literate.
* Previous experience of using D365.
