Job Advert: Primary School Teacher (Key Stage 2) - Temp to Perm Location : Kenilworth Salary : Competitive, based on experience Contract Type: Full Time Start Date : September 2025 Monarch Education is excited to be recruiting a dedicated and passionate Primary School Teacher to join a supportive and thriving school within Key Stage 2. Key Responsibilities of a Key Stage 2 Teacher: Teaching and Learning : Plan and deliver engaging, creative, and differentiated lessons for students in Key Stage 2, ensuring that all lessons meet the needs of every child in your class. Teach the full primary curriculum, including core subjects such as English, Mathematics, Science, and Foundation subjects, in a manner that is both interactive and challenging. Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment where all children feel valued and supported to achieve their potential. Use a range of teaching strategies, including practical activities and technology, to promote active learning and ensure high levels of student engagement. Assessment and Progress : Regularly assess and track the progress of students, using a variety of methods, to monitor their development and inform your teaching practice. Provide constructive, formative feedback to students and adapt lesson plans based on their individual needs and learning styles. Set clear targets for students and support them in achieving their personal and academic goals. Classroom Management : Establish clear and consistent rules for classroom behaviour and promote a positive learning environment. Implement effective behaviour management strategies to maintain a productive, respectful, and safe classroom atmosphere. Foster positive relationships with students, encouraging their social and emotional development alongside their academic progress. Collaboration and Teamwork : Work collaboratively with colleagues in the primary school team to plan cross-curricular activities and share teaching strategies. Participate in school meetings, training, and collaborative planning sessions. Maintain open lines of communication with parents and carers to keep them informed about student progress and school events. Personal Development : Continue to develop professionally by attending training sessions and workshops relevant to your practice. Stay up to date with the latest educational trends, strategies, and practices to ensure that teaching methods remain innovative and effective. Personal Specification: Qualifications : A recognised teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent) is essential. Experience : Experience teaching in Key Stage 2 (preferably in a primary school setting). A strong understanding of the Key Stage 1 and/or Key Stage 2 curriculum and pedagogical approaches is crucial. Experience working with children with a range of learning needs, including SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities). Skills and Attributes : Strong classroom management skills, with the ability to create a positive, inclusive environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with students, parents, and colleagues. A creative and enthusiastic approach to teaching, with a passion for helping children to succeed. Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons efficiently. Ability to assess and monitor student progress and differentiate teaching methods accordingly. Flexible, adaptable, and able to meet the needs of diverse learners in a changing school environment. Personal Qualities : A nurturing and empathetic approach to teaching, with a focus on the holistic development of children. A proactive and self-motivated individual who takes initiative and can work both independently and as part of a team. A commitment to professional development and a desire to improve teaching practices continuously.
