Care home staff required to start asap in a care home in St Andrews.
Duties
- Provide compassionate and personalized care to individuals in need
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Help with meal planning, preparation, and feeding
- Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as laundry and tidying up
- Accompany clients to medical appointments and social outings
Skills
- Care: Demonstrated ability to provide caring and empathetic support to individuals in need.
- Behaviour management: Proficient in managing challenging behaviors and promoting a calm and safe environment.
- Assisted living: Familiarity with the needs and routines of individuals residing in assisted living facilities.
- Hospice care: Knowledge of end-of-life care practices and ability to provide comfort and support to terminally ill patients.
- First aid: Skilled in administering basic first aid techniques in emergency situations.
- Nursing home: Understanding of the unique needs and challenges faced by residents in a nursing home setting.
- Medication administration: Experience in safely administering medications according to prescribed dosages.
- Home care: Ability to provide comprehensive care within a client's home environment.
- Senior care: Knowledge of age-related conditions and ability to provide specialized care for elderly individuals.
