Equans is looking for a Shift Electrical Engineer to join our team at Media City in Salford on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working a shift pattern of 4 on, 4 off, with shifts of 7am-7pm and 7pm-7am. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package.

Role Overview
We are recruiting a Shift Electrical Engineer for our Media City contract. This permanent role involves all-round engineering support, maintaining building infrastructure, and ensuring adherence to health & safety standards. The engineer will coordinate daily activities, ensure high-quality work, respond promptly to plant failures, and manage subcontractors. The shift pattern is 12-hour continental shifts (two days, two nights, followed by four days off).
Key Responsibilities
1. Carry out PPM tasks and complete documentation
2. Respond to reactive callouts on critical systems
3. Conduct compliance testing and minor works to JSP375 standards
4. Perform minor installation works and testing
5. Communicate company vision and implement new procedures
6. Promote company values and stay updated with industry developments
7. Manage subcontractors and ensure safety protocols
8. Complete daily record-keeping and understand escalation procedures
9. Participate in overtime and site cover as needed
10. Review risk assessments and method statements
Qualifications & Experience
* City and Guilds training
* Strong communication skills
* Experience in electrical maintenance and repairs
* AP/AE qualifications are preferred but not essential
