Exciting new opportunity to be part of the team supporting the largest Wind Farm in World: Doggerbank.
This vacancy will be based at our new Marshalling Harbour site at Port Nigg. Your introduction will involve spending time in Able Seaton to understand site workings and then opening the Site in Port Nigg.
Responsibilities
* Cultivate an exceptional EHS culture in the wind farm.
* Provide leadership and engagement to embed a culture of continuous improvement with respect to EHS, acting as the site focus for compliance with health, safety, and environmental legislation.
* Embed EHS systems into general use and ensure training and development of staff in their use and awareness.
* Monitor the site EHS performance and proactively address shortfalls.
* Identify, monitor and review the site\'s KPIs for EHS performance.
* Provide EHS guidance and support to the site teams; lead incident investigations to determine root causes and embed learnings.
* Produce detailed incident reports for health, safety, environmental and quality incidents.
* Review third party EHS competences before engaging services.
* Own and develop the site\'s incident management system.
* Develop and manage the site\'s EHS audit process.
* Liaise with Client and off-site bodies; provide reports on key metrics such as safety statistics, environmental performance and incident reporting.
* Drive PAC and safer cases to maintain a safe working environment on site.
* Support marine coordination requirements and review related processes.
* Participate in process improvement initiatives and share lessons learned with the Site Management Team.
* Conduct regular emergency drills and exercises on site.
* Support coordination with operations teams in reviewing execution documentation (maintenance field instructions, methods statements, risk assessments, last-minute risk assessments).
* Assist in reviewing customized concepts and processes and risk assessments to ensure compliance with Safety at Work Act and other requirements.
* Assist with safety data sheets and hazardous materials registers as part of QHSE responsibilities.
Qualifications
* Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college in Engineering or related EHS/quality field; alternatively a professional education/apprenticeship in a safety or quality related discipline with professional experience.
* Demonstrated professional experience and deep domain expertise in environment, health and safety.
* Proven ability to work in a cross-functional and global environment, including remote teams; strong team player.
* Proven offshore wind experience or experience in a related discipline.
* High motivation level; self-starter with leadership and communication skills.
* Proven oral and written communication skills in English.
* Interpersonal and leadership skills.
