Job overview The post holder will provide a comprehensive secretarial service to the Neuroscience Laboratories. To work with the minimum of supervision in an organised, efficient and effective manner. It is essential that the post holder uses initiative compatible to the role and it is vital that confidentiality is maintained at all times. The post holder will be responsible for the day-to-day administrative function, including, but not limited to distribution and filing of diagnostic reports. Advert Provide a comprehensive secretarial service within the department, maintaining quality standards and confidentiality at all times. This will include: Use the departments Laboratory Information Management Systems effectively and efficiently, updating and distributing pathology reports. Distribution and dispatch of mail and associated items Work independently, exercising independent judgement and initiative when problems arise by taking appropriate action to resolve or referring to an appropriate member of staff. Follow up outstanding results from external providers which fail to meet expected timeframes Assist in the implementation of and compliance with UKAS accreditation requirements.
