Architectural Technician/Technologist

Join a dynamic, design-led architectural practice located in the picturesque village of Gargrave, North Yorkshire. We specialise in a diverse range of residential projects with a strong emphasis on sustainability and quality design. We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Architectural Technician/Technologist to enhance our team.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Assist in the preparation and development of detailed technical drawings and specifications for construction projects.
* Collaborate with architects and other team members to ensure designs are technically feasible and meet regulatory standards.
* Conduct site visits and surveys to gather essential information for project development.
* Liaise with clients, contractors, and consultants to ensure smooth project delivery.
* Utilise CAD software and other relevant tools to produce accurate and high-quality technical documentation.
* Ensure compliance with building regulations and standards.
* Provide technical support and guidance throughout the construction process.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Degree or diploma in Architectural Technology or a related field.
* Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within an architectural practice.
* Proficiency in CAD software and other relevant design tools.
* Competent in Microsoft Office.
* Skilled in writing NBS specifications and technical detailing.
* Strong understanding of building regulations and British Standards.
* Knowledge of UK planning legislation.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Desirable:
* Professional registration with Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists.
* Living within commuting distance of Gargrave.
* A full UK driving licence and your own vehicle.
