Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Hotel Operations Manager to oversee the daily functions of our family run hotel. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, extensive hospitality experience, and exceptional guest service skills. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a dedicated team, optimise operational efficiency, and ensure an outstanding guest experience. Previous supervisory experience within the hotel industry is essential, alongside a solid understanding of human resources and hospitality management principles.
Duties
* Oversee all hotel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, and food & beverage services
* Lead, motivate, and supervise departmental teams to ensure high standards of guest service and operational excellence
* Develop and implement operational policies and procedures in line with organisational objectives
* Manage guest relations to resolve issues promptly and enhance overall satisfaction
* Coordinate staff scheduling, recruitment, training, and performance appraisals
* Monitor financial performance, control costs, and optimise revenue streams
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and hotel policies
* Collaborate with marketing teams to promote hotel services and maximise occupancy rates
* Maintain effective communication across departments to ensure seamless operations
* Analyse guest feedback and implement improvements to elevate service quality
Skills
* Proven supervisory experience within the hotel or hospitality industry
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire teams and foster a positive working environment
* Excellent guest service skills with a focus on exceeding expectations
* Sound knowledge of human resources practices including recruitment, training, and employee relations
* Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently
* Proficiency in Reslynx PMS software and MS Office applications
* Strong problem-solving skills coupled with a proactive approach to operational challenges
