Primary schools in Blackpool and surrounding areas are seeking Supply Teachers to start immediately.
Your new company
Hays is regularly looking to supply cover in Primary Schools across Wigan and the surrounding areas to assist in covering classes across KS1 and KS2. There is a high demand for reliable and motivated teachers to work with schools on a day-to-day, short-term, and long-term basis. The roles available are full-time and part-time, depending on your requirements and availability.
Your new role
As a supply teacher, notice could be given a week in advance or sometimes on the day if urgent; however, we aim to give as much notice as possible. Most of the time, you will deliver pre-planned lessons to various classes and year groups. If you are required to plan a lesson, you will be given prior notice. The benefit of day-to-day supply work is that it offers flexibility and frees up your personal time, as you are not required to do marking or assessing. You will cover several classes across KS1 and KS2, so flexibility and experience in both Key Stages are essential.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed, you must hold qualified teacher status (QTS) gained in the UK. You should be enthusiastic, approachable, and ready to start quickly. Knowledge of the KS1 and KS2 curriculum is preferred. This role could also be ideal for an NQT/ECT looking to gain experience in a primary school environment.
What you'll get in return
You will be paid a competitive daily rate and gain valuable experience. You will receive ongoing support from your personal consultant, who has strong relationships with local schools, along with free career development courses, CV, and interview advice.
