I’m currently recruiting for an Infrastructure Manager to join a British-based, family-run business and a leading name in the electrical accessories market. You will work closely with the IT Director, who is now looking to bring in a strong leader to take ownership of the infrastructure function.
They are a people-focused organisation, committed to innovation, reliability, and building long-term customer relationships through consistent service and delivery.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys leading a team while staying technically involved.
The Role
* Line management responsibility for a team of 4 Helpdesk Analysts and 4 Infrastructure Engineers
* Acting as the senior escalation point and bringing the team together to resolve complex technical issues
* Leading technical discussions around infrastructure improvements and problem resolution
* Remaining as hands-on as you choose, while confidently leading from the front
* Working closely with senior stakeholders across the business
What I’m Looking For
* Strong, in-depth technical knowledge across areas such as:
* Microsoft technologies
* Infrastructure & storage
* Networking
* Security
* Previous experience leading technical teams (ideally 2–15 people)
* A technically minded leader who can mentor, guide, and motivate engineers
* Comfortable operating in both technical and people-management capacities
Interview Process
* Two-stage, face-to-face process
* First interview with the IT Director (high likelihood of progression if successful)
* Final interview with a senior member of the leadership team (e.g. COO or equivalent)
