Job Description
1. To manage the Hygiene Team across both manufacturing facilities, ensuring appropriate resources, training, and performance monitoring to uphold the site’s hygiene program, developing a multiskilled workforce capable of supporting site plans and ambitions.
2. To collaborate closely with site leadership and planning teams to ensure cleaning processes are adequately considered during planning cycles.
3. To serve as the main contact for the external chemical supplier, developing operational, cost, and quality KPIs, and participating in governance structures to monitor and communicate performance to the Senior Management Team and colleagues.
4. To identify and lead continuous improvement projects aligned with quality tactical plans, challenging costs and processes to drive efficiency and quality benefits.
5. To develop and maintain the site cleaning risk assessment and program, ensuring verification of cleaning activities outside product manufacturing areas.
6. To ensure the Hygiene Program and documentation are regularly reviewed for compliance with legislative, certification, and customer requirements, participating in external audits and embedding necessary amendments into the system.
7. To actively participate in the Site Internal Auditing Team, ensuring corrective actions, root cause analysis, and preventative measures are effectively implemented.
8. To support the European Technical Team with expertise and participate in internal audits and KPI reporting.
9. To contribute to the Site HACCP team, providing expertise and guidance.
10. To conduct audits outside of own responsibility area, ensuring compliance with certification standards and customer codes of practice.
Qualifications
* Degree in a Food or Science-related discipline.
* Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Hygiene Manager or equivalent in an FMCG environment.
* Intermediate HACCP and Food Hygiene qualifications.
* Lead Auditor training is advantageous.
