Role: Night Nurse
Location: HMP Stafford, a category C Prison located in Staffordshire
Salary: £33,232 - £40,211 per year depending on experience
Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week, 7:00 pm – 7:30 am, Monday to Sunday service, 4 week rolling rota. A day shift on rotation may be required for ongoing professional development and support.

We are recruiting a Night Nurse to join our Primary Care team at HMP Stafford, serving 741 male inmates. Hours are 37.5 per week with a 7pm – 7.30am shift and a 4 week rolling rota.
Salary and development: This full-time role offers a salary between £33,232 and £40,211 depending on experience. We provide a bespoke induction, competency framework, regional and national career development opportunities, access to a Learning Management System, and support from the wider team.

What you’ll be doing
* Be an integral part of the healthcare team at HMP Stafford, applying clinical skills and patient-centred care
* Develop and lead clinics, undertake examinations and tests, answer emergency bells, and respond to emergencies as needed
* Administer medications (including IVs and controlled drugs), provide palliative care (including syringe drivers), and manage complex patients in collaboration with a paramedic during emergencies
