Mechanical/Steam/HTHW Engineer
Location: HMP Swaleside, Brabazon Rd, Eastchurch, Isle of Sheppey ME12 4AX
Salary: £38,333.37 per annum
Contract: Full Time, Permanent
We are seeking a dedicated Engineer - Mech/Steam/HTHW to join our team at HMP Swaleside, a Cat B Mens prison. As an Engineer - Mech/Steam/HTHW, you will work alongside experienced colleagues across Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenters, Painters, Cleaners, and Administrators, among others, who are dedicated to making a positive difference by maintaining a safe and secure environment for all.

We are a Ministry Of Justice business providing critical and time-bound services to HMPPS, and we are looking for an Engineer - Mech/Steam/HTHW with any combination of the following requirements.
Qualifications
* Two years' experience working in a role as a steam boiler operator or equivalent
* Must be familiar with and able to work to Water Supply Regulation and Control of Legionella L8 requirements
* Must be familiar with and able to work to BG01 - safe operation of boilers
* Experience working on commercial or industrial steam, heating and water systems
* Plumber qualified to C&G 6035 (Plumbing), C&G 6189 (Plumbing and heating) and NVQ level 3 in Plumbing or equivalent
* BOAS accredited boiler operator course or equivalent
* Good Health & Safety knowledge
* Excellent organisational, time management and people skills
