Job Description:
Are you an night owl who's on the lookout for a rewarding new part-time job? We've got just the opportunity for you!
Our amazing #TeamSchoolPark in Strichen is looking for new female colleagues to join their waking night team on a part-time (20 hours per week) permanent basis.
The Role
You'll become part of a fun, friendly team supporting five individuals with learning disabilities and complex needs in their shared home.
Your main goal as part of our Waking Night team will be to ensure that the individuals we support have access to support and assistance during the night, if needed. Responsibilities also include maintaining cleanliness, ironing, health & safety checks, managing finances, and providing administrative support.
About You
No prior experience is necessary; we recruit based on values. We will pay for your training and provide all practical skills needed. We also offer to fund your SVQ (SCQF level 6/7) qualification and SSSC yearly registration fees.
If you don't live in Strichen and are not a driver, you must be able to travel to our service, considering the limited public transport options that align with our shift patterns.
All we ask is:
* A caring and compassionate attitude
* The ability to work well in a team
* Great communication and organizational skills
* A positive attitude and willingness to learn
* Basic computer skills
Shift Patterns
Our Waking Night shifts are from 21:00 to 07:00, seven days a week, on a 6-week rolling rota. You should be able to commit to at least 3 night shifts every 6 weeks to build relationships with those we support and attend mandatory training.
Night shifts are paid at your normal hourly rate plus an additional £20 per night worked.
Interested? Apply today! For questions, contact Lesley Burnett or Gemma McRae at 01771 637979.
Successful candidates will need to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and work towards an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with our Training Academy's support.
Note: If you've spent over 12 months outside the UK (excluding certain countries) in the last 10 years after turning 18, you'll need to provide a criminal record certificate as part of pre-employment checks.
Cornerstone values diversity and encourages applications from all community sections. Please note, for this position, being female is an Occupational Requirement under the Equality Act 2010.
