Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum (depending on skills and experience)

The Role
As a Senior Nuclear Safety Consultant, you will play a key role in leading the development of safety cases and safety justification strategies. You'll work collaboratively with clients, regulators, and partner organisations to deliver high-quality safety solutions and provide trusted advice.
Key Responsibilities:
 * Develop and lead nuclear safety justification strategies.
 * Undertake detailed hazard and risk analyses, including deterministic, probabilistic and severe accident assessments.
 * Derive and demonstrate compliance with nuclear safety requirements.
 * Develop safety cases, risk management plans, and perform independent safety assurance reviews.
 * Lead periodic safety reviews of systems and facilities.
 * Liaise effectively with regulators and stakeholders.
 * Support, mentor and develop junior team members.
About You
You'll bring a deep understanding of nuclear safety principles and proven experience in delivering safety documentation and analysis for complex nuclear systems or facilities.
Essential Requirements:
 * Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant technical discipline.
 * Demonstrable experience in nuclear safety case development.
 * In-depth knowledge of Nuclear Site Licence Conditions and/or Authorising Conditions.
 * Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
 * UK national with eligibility to obtain security clearance.
Desirable:
 * Chartered Engineer status (CEng) with the UK Engineering Council. (not essential)
 * Previous consultancy experience.
