Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Financial Controller to join our community hub team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the organisation's core operations and ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of services.
Key Responsibilities:
* Leadership of the Billing and Credit Control teams.
* Delivery of the Key Strategic Objective to deliver working capital improvements.
* Designing departmental objectives and ensuring the achievement of key KPI's aligned to organisation goals.
* Overseeing the end-to-end billing process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and compliance.
* Working with other Finance colleagues ensuring correct revenue recognition in line with relevant controls and internal policies.
* Collaborating with commercial and operations teams, to resolve billing disputes.
* Developing and implementing policies and procedures for both Billing and Credit Control.
* Supporting the debt collection process and dealing with escalations.
* Reducing overdue debt and unallocated cash.
Requirements:
* Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
* Proven experience in a Financial Controller or similar Senior Finance role, with specific expertise in Billing and Credit Control.
* Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles, revenue reconciliation and credit risk management.
* Excellent leadership and team management skills.
* Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making abilities.
* Advanced Excel skills.
