Cover Supervisor – Secondary Education (Full-Time, Temporary)
Teach Now is working with a forward-thinking secondary setting in Hertfordshire to recruit a confident and reliable Cover Supervisor for a full-time, temporary position. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build hands-on experience in education, whether you’re considering a future in teaching or already have classroom-based experience.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in maintaining continuity of learning during teacher absences. Strong behaviour management, clear communication, and a calm, professional presence are key to success in this role.
You’ll be joining a welcoming and inclusive school environment that values teamwork, respect, and high standards. Staff are well-supported, safeguarding is taken seriously, and there is a strong emphasis on positive relationships with students. The role offers valuable exposure to secondary education, making it ideal for aspiring teachers, graduates, or experienced education support staff.
Key Requirements:
• GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths
• Experience working with young people in an educational or youth setting
• Confidence managing classrooms and promoting positive behaviour
• Commitment to safeguarding and student welfare
Desirable:
• Previous Cover Supervisor or Teaching Assistant experience
• Knowledge of the secondary curriculum
• Experience in a diverse school community
If you’re enthusiastic, adaptable, and passionate about supporting young people, we’d love to hear from you.
