The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Conveyancing Assistant (minimum 12 months' experience in residential sales and purchase) to join our busy property team.
This role is key to ensuring our clients receive professional, accurate, and friendly service at all times. You'll be handling data entry, preparing legal documents, and supporting the team with a high volume of conveyancing matters.
Key Responsibilities
* Open new files, input instructions into the case management system, and prepare letters/documents
* Update case management system as matters progress
* Issue contracts on sale files and assist with replies to enquiries
* Order searches and manage exchanges/completions paperwork
* Prepare and issue mortgage reports to clients
* Handle incoming post, telephone enquiries, filing, billing, photocopying, and archiving
* Provide general administration support across the office and firm
Essential Skills
* Strong IT skills with accuracy in data input and document preparation
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines, and work under pressure
* Organised, adaptable, and able to work on your own initiative as well as in a team
* Strong client-care focus with a professional, friendly manner
Experience
* 12+ months' experience in conveyancing (sales and purchase)
* Previous experience in a fast-paced, client-focused environment
