The Role: Senior Cost Manager The client: Private Bank The Location: London / Kent (Hybrid working) The role Manage accounting, capitalization, depreciation, and total cost of ownership for Transformation and Group Technology. Lead budgeting, forecasting, and driver-based cost models; identify risks and savings. Report monthly performance with variance analysis and actionable insights for leadership. Act as Finance partner for Transformation and IT; ensure efficient spend and clear cost narrative. Oversee project and headcount accounting, cloud cost governance, and optimization. Drive process improvements in cost modeling, reporting, and automation. Ensure compliance with risk, data governance, and company standards. The Responsibilities 5 years in cost and/or management accounting within Financial Services, with proven ownership of complex technology cost centres and/or major programmes 5 years as a Finance Business Partner operating with executive stakeholders (challenge and influence "upwards") Demonstrable project accounting experience (capex/opex/cash) and preparing senior-level materials Hands-on IT cost domain knowledge (infrastructure, software, services, projects; cloud) Advanced financial modelling in Excel; experience with ERP/General ledger and forecasting tools (e., Anaplan desirable).
