Help keep our Estate looking clean, fresh, and uplifting for our patients, staff, and visitors!

At Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, we are looking to appoint a professional Painter and Decorator on a permanent and full-time basis.

As part of our Estates team, you'll play a crucial role in helping to create a pleasant environment for our patients, visitors, and staff. In a large acute hospital like Leeds Teaching Hospitals, a welcoming, well-maintained environment can make those in our care feel safe and welcome.

You'll help maintain our hospital environments to the highest standard, ensuring areas like wards, communal spaces, offices, and staff rooms are suitable and welcoming for anyone who needs them.

This role involves supporting the environment across all our hospital sites, which can include deployment to any of our four hospital sites in Leeds.

The position is full-time, providing 37.5 hours per week.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will be part of a team of 6 working trust-wide. The primary role is to ensure the Trust's internal environments are maintained to a high standard.

The work will include routine and planned painting and decorating duties.

The candidate will be responsible for associated tools, plant, and materials used within the scope of their work within the Estates Department.

This job may involve prolonged periods of physical activity; the post holder must be capable of undertaking such duties.

The successful candidate could be required to drive Trust vehicles; holding a full, current British driver's license would be highly beneficial.

Training is available, subject to budget, as part of the position, and the candidate may be required to attend external training providers' premises.
