Role Overview:
We are looking for a talented, ambitious Student Recruitment and Events Assistant to support our recruitment strategies by engaging with prospective students globally, representing GIS at events, and building strong relationships. You will execute recruitment campaigns, manage our CRM system, drive student engagement, and ensure the smooth delivery of recruitment events, providing administrative support and logistical coordination.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Qualification and Sales Funnel Management:
* Respond to enquiries from prospective students via email, phone, and social media, providing timely and informative responses.
* Utilise frameworks to assess lead suitability for further engagement.
* Build and nurture relationships with prospective students, providing information about courses, admissions, scholarships, and university life.
* Develop and execute targeted email and phone campaigns to nurture leads and encourage progression through the recruitment funnel.
* Maintain and update CRM systems with accurate information, tracking the student journey from initial contact to application.
Events:
* Assist in planning, coordinating, and delivering recruitment events including open days, webinars, school visits, and campus tours.
* Support logistical arrangements for in-person and virtual events, ensuring smooth execution.
* Coordinate with internal departments and external partners to meet event requirements.
* Represent GIS at virtual and in-person events such as open days, school visits, recruitment fairs, and webinars.
* Assist in recruiting, training, and managing student ambassadors for events.
* Provide guidance and support to ambassadors, ensuring they are well-prepared.
Communication and Engagement:
* Assist in creating and distributing promotional materials, including digital content, flyers, and invitations.
* Respond to inquiries from prospective students, parents, and educators, offering excellent customer service.
Data Management and Reporting:
* Maintain and update CRM with prospective student and attendee data.
* Gather and analyse data from events and interactions to evaluate effectiveness and inform strategies.
Administrative Support:
* Provide general administrative assistance to the Recruitment Team and Events Manager.
* Manage event documentation, budgets, schedules, and attendee lists.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:

* University degree or relevant qualification, preferably in a related field
* Knowledge and strong interest in sports, education, student recruitment, and event management
* Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for diverse audiences
* Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
* Ability to work independently and in a team
* Proactive and adaptable approach
* Experience in sports industry or education
* Experience in customer service or event coordination roles
* Experience working towards targets/KPIs, with success in recruitment or sales
* Familiarity with CRM systems and online event platforms
